Today I’ll talk as a parent, worried about our children, no matter how old they may be.
Mine are 29 and 30 years old, living their own lives abroad. I often call them to make sure they’re ok, hoping that this 2-week-stay-at-home decree-, will soon be over to see them and hug them.
Unfortunately, we all know the quarantine will take longer, and that perhaps those summer plans to spend some time together, won’t take place. Does this sound familiar? What about those parents of kids and teens? How are you managing at home? And single moms
and dads? What can you share with others to hold on in these difficult times?
I used to be a divorced-working mom with my two kids; I know how difficult it can be to stay put even in the good times, so believe me, I feel you! It takes lots of strength to appear “well” in rocky times, but don’t you think we must in the name of love for our children? In the end, one of the joys of parenthood is seeing our children happy whatever it takes, isn’t it?
