I have been amazed by many people during this pandemic. How human beings have managed to cope with their own problems and still go the extra mile to help others without expecting anything in return; like those who sit for hours sewing masks to protect us, even if they don’t comply with the necessary requirements, or those who offer to go to the supermarket for the elders; and what about the ones who volunteer as caretakers? Or the doctors and nurses who take the time to connect the infected with their loved ones who are worried sick at home.
These are just some of the many cases we have all read about, and I’m pretty sure that each one of you has had a moment in which you received an unexpected call, email, or favor, that has moved you.
This is what I’m going to stay with, after the pandemic: the people, the good people; the ones who cared beyond expectations. The ones who went the extra mile, thank you!
