SENSE OF HUMOR IN TIMES OF CORONAVIRUS

Considering that we are living in such dark times, should we embrace laughter in the hope of keeping our cool? Maybe, but... could we do it without coming across as being cruel, impolite, or insensitive?

It is said that a good laugh relieves physical tension and stress. It also boosts our immune system. In fact, it actually decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving our resistance to disease.

I don’t want to sound stupid, like if I were coming up with “the cure” of this pandemic with laughter (if you know what I mean…), so please don’t start laughing about everything! What I’m trying to say is that perhaps now more than ever, turning to comedy is not such a bad idea.

Even though sense of humor is so very different from culture to culture, we can all get a kick out of jokes, sitcoms, and funny images that you can find online every day.

Let’s laugh a little!
